2_14_NACIONES_GComité de la ONU deploró que Panamá cierre las puertas a los candidatos al asilo

El Comité de la ONU contra la Tortura reaccionó por el “elevado porcentaje” de rechazo en Panamá a las solicitudes de asilo, declaradas en un 98 % “inadmisibles” en lo que va del año, y le pidió al Gobierno que no expulse, devuelva o extradite a personas que buscan refugio en su territorio “cuando existen razones fundadas para creer que correrían el riesgo personal y previsible de ser sometidas a tortura”, según recomendaciones al país centroamericano publicadas el viernes en Ginebra.

Edited by Professor Siobhán Mullaly (incoming at NUI Galway) and Professor Fiona de Londras (University of Birmingham) — members of IntLawGrrls — and published by Hart Publishing, the Yearbook is internationally peer reviewed and publishes longer and shorter articles on all areas of international law.
