UK-UEUK House of Lords vote sets roadblock for Brexit

[JURIST] The House of Lords [official website] passed Wednesday two amendments [vote count, website] that hinder the UK’s effort to leave the EU known as Brexit.

The amendments address the EU (Withdrawal) Bill 2017-19 [bill, PDF] and require ministers to explore possibilities for remaining in the EU customs union. The debate [minutes] over the amendments lasted nearly five hours with lords expressing concern over Brexit’s impact on the UK’s economy and trade. La Justicia europea obliga a las compañía aéreas a indemnizar a los pasajeros aunque la aerolínea atraviese un proceso de “huelga salvaje”. El Tribunal de Justicia de la Unión Europea (TJUE), en una sentencia dictada hoy, rechaza que sea una “circunstancia extraordinaria” que permita a la compañía aérea liberarse de la obligación de indemnización en caso de cancelación o de gran retraso de un vuelo.
